Children's Privacy

MileageBuddy is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Location Services

MileageBuddy requires access to your device's location services to function properly. You can control location permissions through your device settings:

iOS Settings: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > MileageBuddy

You can choose:

  • Always: Enables automatic background tracking
  • While Using the App: Manual tracking only
  • Never: Disables mileage tracking

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services:

  • Trip data: Stored locally on your device until you delete it
  • Account information: Retained while your account is active
  • Usage data: Retained for up to 2 years for analytics purposes

When you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
